Dedicated to the little things in life
that have been lost in the shuffle,
many a mem'ry to ease the strife
heartstrings they tug+feathers they ruffle.
I can't remember the last time
we just sat and talked,
on that old porch swing so fine
and how it knocked.
Our cares away with every swing
oh the worries we would leave behind,
it was such a magical thing
no need for modern technology to unwind.
Such little things can bring tears
to my eyes still today,
my name on poems thru the years
can also do that to me in a magical way.
