The Fear of Man
Wake up and clothe yourself in strength,
To persevere at any length;
Wake up as you did in the past,
For the times are moving so fast.
God dried up water from the sea,
Making a road so they could flee;
Then once everyone was through,
The reclaimed waters were then due.
They came to Zion sang with joy,
Up from Egypt where they deploy;
Lasting happiness in the head,
Nourished with manna to be fed.
Because of their true deep belief,
They have no more sorrow or grief;
For the sighing shall flee away,
Since no longer going astray.
Only the Lord can comfort you,
Obstacles in taking you through;
So no fear of man like a snake,
Because the Lord will not forsake.
For He knows what is your true worth,
Laying foundations for the earth;
After stretching Heaven out wide,
Giving us someplace to abide.
