The Broken
There are many that walk the street tonight
Searching for answers, for comfort, for you
Heartfelt circumstances the culprit
they never saw coming
Sentiment trampled upon, just another
day in the life of one so unforgiving
Desperation sets the tone for the day
Yours bared upon a heart that once was
and begs to be
Everyone becomes broken at one time or another
you my friend no different, yet different
Comfort comes today but not soon enough
The weight on your chest unbearable but
wearable
Discomfort reads upon your face and you
walk alone, waiting for this period to pass
The eye of the storm is overhead, a break
for now, hold to you what now is left
Your life will begin anew and the broken
shall love again
