Upon My Mind, Upon This Heart
Warm is the place where thoughts of you
Run free about where held are too
The kisses shared, the whispers soft
Pure thoughts of you and me aloft
Warmer still, where treasure's kept
Where loneliness once lived and wept
There are you, who took shifting sand
Making loved fortress inside this man
What thanks to give but these few lines
That were in me for quite some time
Waiting to love someone who could
Make his heart beat, once but deadwood
I shall remain faithful my love
Though time may steal of whats left of
This man once young, that grew now old
In heart and mind, shared stories told
They spoke of one who would soon come
To mend them both making them one
Both heart and mind where peace now reigns
Inside his soul that knew but pain
and when I draw last breath of you
I'll look to heaven, one Angel few
Who gave me reason to breathe again
Before my life comes to an end
