Oh What The Imagination Can Do!!I know I go on about nits and worms, But you know what? I tell it true! If your kids school was overrun with them! Then you'd write about them too!! Now my daughter is a-phobic, Yep, nits and worms are her pet-hate! And every time the kids catch them, My daughter's in a terrible state! I guess I have to be honest here, Once 'nits' were the worst for her, But then they got the wiggly worms, And her hysterical screams filled the air! And oh I would laugh my head off! Yep, I'm ashamed to say it's true! And every time she'd phone me to tell me, More laughter would come pouring through!! Then one night I got an itchy itch... I asked my daughter if the kids had worms... 'YES!!' Came back the reply, Oh heck, I could imagine the squirms!!!! So I went to bed that night, With my daughters laughter in my ears, And I wouldn't go to sleep at all, Instead I cried buckets of tears!! And I phoned my doctor next morning, And told her of my awful plight, Telling her that I used to laugh at my daughter, And adding that I hadn't slept all night!!! She actually laughed her head off! I think it was a bit of; ‘what goes around!' And I promised never to laugh again, If nits or worms are to ever be found! I have to add a little to this though, Cos it turned out I didn't have worms! And all the thoughts and fears were unfounded, Even down to the little itchy squirms! But it taught me a lesson that's true, Never to laugh at another worm or nit plight!
