My Retreat
Seems as if the moment now
Will have to wait for us somehow
Wear worn upon a heart, both there
A choice to make and hard to bare
Looked forward to my peace and rest
Upon shoulders, upon no less
Where Heaven reigns upon this Earth
Upon her loved my true net worth
Yet her who birthed, who calls me son
Has fallen to what's still not done
Where fragile state has now become
The need to be with dear loved one
Selfish I've been to even write
About feelings, about whats not right
To even let my mind now race
Decision now, heart out of place
Today upon my knees I task
With patience mine and heart attacks
For now retreat, my spa must wait
If loss should come upon this date
Weakness seen before my eyes
Upon frail body when last we cried
Of her I love, who calls me son
As illness hers has now become
Reason to put my plans on hold
Reason to hold what time has stole
Mother in arms who once held me
Before time ends, life's destiny
