MOONLIGHT  FAIRY

ONE EVENING I TOOK A LITTLE WALK
NEVER THINKING WHAT I MIGHT SEE
BUT--THERE IT WAS, A LOVELY FAIRY
JUST SITTING IN A TREE

HER HAIR WAS LONG, WITH A GOLDEN GLOW.
IN HER HAND WAS A WISHING BALL,
HER WINGS WERE SHEER , AND GLITTERING .
SHE  DIDN'T SEEM TO NOTICE ME AT ALL

THE MOON WAS GLOWING IN THE SKY,
THE STARS WERE SHINING BRIGHT
SHE SAT UPON THE TREE LIMB,
IT REALLY WAS A SIGHT.

NOW--SOME WILL SAY"THEY DON'T EXIST",
BUT THIS MUCH I CAN SAY
I KNOW I WASN'T DREAMING,
I SAW ONE YESTERDAY.
