The Devil;s Lead

The dim light of dawn has finally
assailed my darkened window, rescuing
me from the gargoyles of my sleepless
dreams and the aches, pains of an old
man.

The journey has been long and hard,
it's too late to ask forgiveness for the
mistakes made, so now at this late
stage, I must endure the errors of my
ways.

There was a time, when young, foolish
and in my prime, I thought life was to be
forever mine.

The years quickly passed by tens and now
I ponder were and when my life will end.

End it shall and all the tears from my aging eyes
cant not save me from that finial journey to heaven
or hell!

Regrets are not free, we pay for the sins
of yesterday with the pains of today.

So my friends take heed, change you ways
before you take the devil's lead.
