Walking in the rain memories of you starts to creep
I hear songs of when first we met in puddles deep
It was a rainy night when you came to my desperate aid
Stuck on a country road in my auto deathly afraid
Next to mine a car radio blaring with songs of old
Sounds of laughter bringing realities to unfold
Your worried beautiful eyes anxiously peering at me
Through flapping windshield wipers I did see
Together we out waited the storm til a rainbow did appear
Hours passed quickly calming my most dreaded fear
Your hand so very gentle yet strong in comforting me
Made you my knight in shining armor setting me free
My heart still loves the rain that brought you to me
With laughter and promises of a future lover to be!
