The Passionate Life
Open to the fullness of the senses, alive within the moment;
Not thinking about the past, nor worrying about the future.
All barriers are broken down, the winds take me to wherever;
Walking along with sensual awareness, living the passionate life.
Reaching out to grab every morsel of food from life's vine;
Sucking down every drop, delighted with the unique flavors.
Heart exposed to the beasts without fear of the what if's;
Instead, absorbing the love while living the passionate life.
The hate, the cruelty, the hurtfulness, the resentments;
Letting these darts roll off my back like water on a duck.
Not withdrawing, but extending my reach even further;
Romance, love, sensuality; all fruits of the passionate life.
There will be pain, but I relish that over living without emotion;
Like being already dead, just another one of life's zombies.
NO! I won't live without communion, without relationships;
I choose to live completely open in the passionate life.
