Awake to the Truth
At one time you lived in the dark,
Sin and corruption where embark;
Filled with earthly joy and pleasured,
With worldly things that you treasured.
But now God gave you the insight,
In which the Lord has filled with light;
No longer be running wild,
But family as His child.
Light produces all that is good,
Showing you the way that you should;
Conduct yourself every day,
As long as you trust and obey.
Approval from God that is true,
And shall be waiting all for you;
Just do not let it be ignored.
Of the things that pleases the Lord.
Have nothing to do with useless things,
That only worldly pleasure brings;
And has what darkness desires,
Which is what Satan admires.
So wake up sleeper from the dead,
Open your mouth so you are fed;
By the light Christ shines upon you,
For light exposes what is true.
