FUTURE AFLOAT
Waiting for the life
we long to live,
to set sail,
is torturous
seemingly
out of reach
Each moment
suspended in
loneliness
stretches
on unceasingly
carrying patience
on the wind
We can see the
shoreline to our
destiny in the
distance
summoning us
its song so simple
and dulcet
A siren's call,
the future
fascinates,
unfurls
catching a flurry
fixing our eyes
on fervent hopes
Time, stock still,
seems to tack
now into oceans
of tenderness,
promising tomorrows
two hearts anchored,
no longer adrift
in a solitary sea
L'amour de mes rêves...
I cannot wait to sail into
a new life with you!
