Contempt to the Word
The dawning of a new morning,
You reject another warning;
By trusting oppression and deceit,
Making mistakes that you repeat.
That is why your sin is a fence,
And will be keeping you so tense;
With an attitude that is tight,
Never to allow in the light.
Do not allow to be ignored,
Words that are stated by the Lord;
And you can be saved if you learn,
How to confess for to return.
You can have peace as well as rest,
Knowing that you have done your best;
Remaining strong avoiding lust,
Remembering where to put trust.
But you would flee because of fear,
What you do not see is not clear;
And the mystery still remains,
As captive sin keeps you in chains.
Still Christ rises with compassion,
Trying for you to awaken;
As He will patiently await,
When you will make it to the gate.
