When Close I Need To Be
When selfishness becomes the me I see
I remember you, remember all you have done
and yet to do in me
Forgive me Father for failing to be
a better servant, the clay you molded
into the man you saved
The best for last
Raise I do my arms in thanks and praise
for still loving my wayward soul
A soul that hungers for life that's passed
him by, that remembers from whence it came
and where it is today
May my cries reach you who truly loves me
unconditionally
Whose hands and feet bore more than my sins
but for a world lost in it self as I have
walked wilderness before today
Today my soul seeks rest from all that it bares
Today, rescue is what comes to mind
Today the past became my end and
new beginnings my future
and I give thee thanks
