beware

Beware
~~
She never looks out from behind her mask
Of being forbidding, scary or just plain weird
Just to get close enough to touch or even to whisper is such a task
~~
The icy cold of a long lonely wintery walk
Is what you feel when you gaze in to her eyes
Or maybe the feeling of blackboards and screeching chalk
 ~~
She gives an illusion of being distant
Her angry eyes are there to keep you away
And of her own desire she is defiant
~~
This lonely woman of Witches bay
She wasn't always distant
A trusted friend stole her lover away
~~
She lives outon the point in Witches bay
If you dare to visit her remember what they say
"Beware, you have been warned”, Is all they say!
