Poetic Verses
When I saw her
There she was sitting at the table in the coner
She was a piture of beauty like not other
My heart beat faster and and hit my chest harder
Slimming into my chest wall like a jack-hammer
How could i let my emotions get the better of me
Thought that this moment would nerver be
How could the be, how could i lose such control
In cricket parlance i was completely bowled
Yet my heat beat so hard and sometimes so erratic
The moment was such that i was getting so frantic
But to her i was being drawn like a magnet
Even though i never thought of what to say yet
To get close to her was for me a must
Was i driven by love or some form of lust
Because i was captivated by her countours and beauty
To describe would ecxhaust many writings in poetry.
As i neared a smile spread across her face
I wonder was it one of welcome or one of social grace
But I kept approaching but somehow i could not stop
Until i got to her table and sat with a tired flop
There I was dripping with lots of perspiration
Even though the room was adequately airconditioned
My! she said "you seemed to be having a high fever"
Yes I said you have struck my like no other.
Here she said calm yourself I do not bite
Thanks was my reply "I am sure you did see my plight"
I felt like lifting a ton coming over here tonight
Well at least you made the journey and got her alright.
This made me at least a bit more comfortable
The conversation was most intellectual and agreeable
When i added that i saw her and wanted to know her
She replied that was something mutual to the letter.
