You've Dried My Tears
When the shattered pieces of my life
lay scattered at my feet
You always seem to know
how to turn my bitter to sweet
For many years you've answered
each frantic call
You were there to cushion
another tragic fall
You've calmed my fears
and made me smile
You walked with me
on many a difficult mile.
You draw me close
when I cry
You cheer me on
when I need to fly
You've taken the time
to break down the walls
You fought thru my anger
with my heartbreak calls
You know me better
than the flesh of my bone
You took the time to see
the love my heart has shown
As my life's pieces
lay scattered all around
You help me sort thru
until reason can be found
So much we share
You've calm my fears
You lift me up
You've dried my tears
