O Mother Tripura, I adore Thee,O Bhavani!
Thou art shining with splendor of thousand risen Suns
Thy hands hold a book and a rosary of rudraksha beads
Along with gestures of granting boons and blessings.
Your lotus face is adorned with three lotus like eyes.
Beauteous is Thy Neck with a necklet of large pearls!
O Mother of universe, how can we the ignorant people
Whose minds are restless with doubts and disputes
Know Thy form ravishing with its vermilion lustre
Stooping with the weight of Thy lofty breasts
Accessible only by merit acquired in previous births!

O Tripura, the sages describe Thy physical form
Whereas the Vedas speak of Thy subtle form
Others call Thee as Goddess of speech and cosmic energy,
Others, again, as the root of the worlds and the nature
But I think of Thee as ocean of mercy, and nothing else.
Worshipers contemplate Thee in their hearts as three-eyed
Adorned with a crescent, white as the autumnal full moon,
Whose substance is the alphabet and the essence is nectar!

O Tripura, Thou art Siva united with Parvati
Thou art Visnu embraced by the Goddess Lakshmi
And the lotus born Brahma kissed by Sarasvati.
Thou art again the presiding Goddess of speech
And yet again Thou art the energy of all these!
The blessed, having conquered the six enemies
Such as lust, greed, anger,delusion,pride and envy
With steady mind fix their gaze betwixt the eyebrows
And contemplate in their mind Thy moon-crested form
Resplendent like the newly risen sun!

The Vedas proclaim that Thou created the world,
Having assumed the other half of the body of Lord Siva
Verily is it true, O Daughter of the Heavenly Mountain
And the only World-mother, if that had not been so,
The multitude of worlds would never have been existed!
In company with the wives of the Kinnaras,
The Siddha women, whose eyes are reddened by wine
Having worshiped Thee with flowers of celestial trees
In Thy altar in the caverns of the himalayan Mountains,
Sing Thy praises! Whereas I worship Thee in my heart!
Thy divine body always appears moist with nectar,
Which is beauteous as the splendor of lightning.
O Mother Tripura, I take refuge at Thy lotus feet,
The abode of bliss, the source of the Vedas,
The origin of supreme light and all prosperity
Thou whose body is divine Intelligence itself!

I shall never forget Her, who bestows happiness;
She it is, O Devi, who, in the form of Brahma,
Creates the world full of sounds with their meanings,
And again, by Her power in the form of Visnu,
She it is who maintains the world.
And She, again, it is who, in the form of Siva,
Destroys the whole universe at the end of the yugas!
Men worship Thee under various names--
As Narayani; as She who saves from the ocean of Hell;
As Gauri; as She the allayer of grief; and as Sarasvati,
The three-eyed Goddess, giver of knowledge, O Tripura!
Thou art verily the blissful Mother of universe!
Om Hrim Obeisance unto Thee O Tripura Bhairavi!
