 HEARTBREAK

A truer heart
Ripped from the ribs of my body and
Plunged into the hell-hole of madness:
Searing screams that I heard through a broken soul.

A life showing testament to an endless devotion
That lay in pieces at the altar of worship.
Neglected outpourings and
Mislaid promises
Swept under the carpet of sanctity.

Barbarity names your character
Loyalty names mine.

Legions of questions unanswered.

A weeping flute serenades my loneliness
Soulless silence reverberates to an empty spirit.

Callousness will cost you dear my friend.

Poisoned is my love but
not forever.
