Why Crime
These actions have been occurring with startling regularity
They are either a murder or an attempt at or aggravated robbery
The perpetrators are not concerned about the time
Getting what they want is foremost on the mind.
A couple of things that happened really frightened me
Two very young guys effected a bold robbery
This heist did not yield what they expected
So they set the building afire, before they departed.
On another occasion this time this one resulted in a tragedy
This happened at the scene of another robbery
After getting their booty, the building was raze
The result was the six young ladies were sent to an early grave.
This unsociable behavioural pattern is it a mystery
Some even take their chances though they are captured on CCTV.
A time a place got rob, and people say what a comedy
Because it was located with the police station in close proximity,
I know it will be blamed on the situation caused by the recession
Even so, does that give any on that right or permission
To forcefully relieve anyone of their hard working possesions
To bail themselves out of any financial situation.
Some of the actions can breed despair and fear
It looks like the perpetrators do not care
Some act as though they have access to an owner's key
Because they will rob some place repeatedly.
What is the weapon of choice most often
It has to be asked how they get such easy access to a gun
Sometime their actions are so swift, be it day or night
Using that element of surprise as this created an uncertain plight
Have we created this monster sometime earlier
Because times were better we did not hesitate to squander
Now that the situation have changed and one have to be prudent
They are still expecting the same as day when it was abundant.
