Poetic Verses
Loneliness
As a child it always would amaze and even surprise me
When I saw people surrounded by friends and family
Having fun, enjoying themselves and being the star of the party
Then would hear them say, my I am so lonely.
As time progress and I began to grow and exhibit some maturity
My thoughts would in a way try to figure out what are the factors in being lonely
Thinking that perhaps somehow it is a form of emotion
Or perhaps it could be contained in a series of reations.
Why is it that people tend to get so annoyed?
When in their lives there is a void
That emptiness in their lives which must be filled
Can this be one of the forms of loneliness ills?
Why when a man is getting married make the world of promises
Then a few years later he has become so remiss
Spending time away and staying out late at nights
Is he driven by a form of loneliness' plights
There are times when someone may say, sometimes pitifully
I have to find someone, because i am oh so lonely
That accomplished, and try as you might
You will never any visible change in or any show of delight
Is Loneliness a retarding force to happiness?
Can one show a happy face, but inside there is that feeling of loneliness?
On this life's stage one can present a facade
Whilst the body language speaks loudly that they are sad.
I have heard people say that they love their partners
But in love with them, that is a somewhat different matter
And may say even though I have some form of company
There is this need, I am still feeling lonely.
Now as an adult, and have been here for some years
In the process observing myself and lots of my peers
Perhaps i can state now with some reservation
That the mind most certainly is an important factor in ones situation.
