Missing You
Missing You
Tonight I sit alone
beneath the Florida moon
The stolen moments we share
always end too soon
You are so close
yet so far away
How I pray
for the time you will stay
Your protective loving arms
are so painfully absent
The sweetness of your kiss
how I wish now to be present
With out you I am
but a lost ship upon the sea
Being tossed about
not allowed to be free
What does tomorrow hold
when you are not by my side
When my heart is washed away
like the evening tide
With out you here
I don't know where to go
The angry waves of life
toss me to and fro
When my life is off center
you anchor me down
You have this way
of making smiles from frowns
How am I to ease this unrest
of not knowing what to do
How am I to survive another day
when I am so missing you
