A Confident Song
On that day we will sing a song,
In a city that is so strong;
With walls that are so fortified,
By the faith that all will abide.
Gates spread wide for the righteous in,
Remaining faithful free of sin;
With perfect peace that will protect,
From sickness trying to infect.
And whose minds that can never change,
For thoughts from God exchange;
All because of having full trust,
That keeps you away from the lust.
For the Lord is a living rock,
Every place where that you may walk;
And be in you no matter where,
With His wisdom that He will share.
God will bring down ones that are high,
And His Word who they do defy;
To trample them under His feet,
While using them for His seat.
God will level them to the ground,
As the righteous will hear the sound;
From a trumpet heard from a cloud,
And the righteous float from the crowd.
