Parents hope for
So much for their
Children,
And sometimes
Tied up in
Those hopes
Are the fears
They hope
Those same
Children
Will never
Have to deal
With the
Monsters
Of their pasts,
And their
Sub-consciousness.
These tiny creatures
Are their own beings.
We were once
Such tiny creatures,
And somewhere
Are still
Thought of as
Children
No matter what
Age we reach.
All of us
Look at the world
And find it
As we project
It with the filters
Chosen for us
Adopted by us
and
Created by us.
We are not
Victims of this
World,
But its co-creators.
All the despair
We see is what
We bring.
All the hope,
Is what we
Let burn
From
The torchlight
Of our souls…
We can be lighthouses
Or warships
On stormy seas…
It all depends
On how
We see
Our own
Visions.
If we see the world
Full of despair
Then we are right,
If we see the world
Full of hope
Then we are right.
Because our
Actions
Follow our
Projections
Onto the world.
We are powerful
Wizards and Demi-gods!
We can vanquish
The darkness
Or bring the light.
I'd rather project
My hopes,
Than to empower
Other's
Fears.
