Joyfully Serve God
Judge me O God and plead my case,
Of the sinful nation I face;
Save me from deceit and unjust,
That is filled with the greed and lust.
For You are my fortress O God,
To whom I do honor and laud;
But it seems You rejected me,
Since I am unable to see.
I am not one to be scorning,
But I have to walk in mourning;
Because I am filled with many woes,
With being oppressed by my foes.
Please send me Your truth and your light,
To be able to guide me right;
As I go to your dwelling place,
So I can feel your just embrace.
To the holy mountain I go,
Up where the crimson tide does flow;
To the altar of highest joy,
And my thanks that I can deploy.
Please do not discourage my soul,
So I can proceed to extol;
And keep putting my hope in You,
With each and every day through.
