I've Not Written For Ages...I've not written for ages, this is true, But once more my feelings need to come through! My therapy once again to the fore! But as for health issues, oh please, no more! I need an operation on my poor throat, And I jest you not, it's not something to gloat! So I'm trying to get my head around that! But goodness me, oh heck, oh drat! Then on Monday I find out about my eyes, Oh woe is me, can you hear my cries? Of course you can't, cos you're on the net! But trust me true, I'm not one to bet! Cos if I were, I would have to say... Things don't bode very good for me today! So I will hold onto that bet, not see it through! Cos I don't do pessimistic, that won't do! But, in truth I have to tell it true, I'm feeling sad, and feeling blue! Don't know how I feel in my heart and head, But I should be thankful that I'm not dead! Cos I could be you know, with this awful body, It's battered, knackered and a little shoddy! But I will plod on in as much as I can, And lean on the support of a loving man. Cos my poor hubby got a rum deal, When he met me and my heart did steal! My doctor warned him what he would face, And the poor lad smiled, and did so with grace! He said it's just another ‘glitch', a glitch says me! This body's a mess but he doesn't care you see! All he cares about is that I've alive, And so for his sake, I guess I'll have to survive. Survive the deal that's being dealt to me, Cos at the end of the day, I've no choice you see! So onward and upward is the only way... And I better get my head sorted this very day! Cos pessimistic doesn't wash with me! I have to be positive and focused you see! So lead me on, into the future bright, And pray for me, that I don't lose my sight!
