 "her path to integrity"

"the west wind raises the dragon"

one dusk, as dark threads crossed the sky, a talking crane visited a man in dream. air
whirled as the crane landed. he said when the west wind raises the dragon, you will
pass through the ninth door of water; once imparted the crane flew away.

season upon season, the man contemplated the crane's words. as the many years
passed, on the nineteenth day of the second month, the man died.

it is said each year during the final two weeks of february, his large family, a great
many soldiers and friends gather at a long waterfall. though rare, at dusk, if a few
natural phenomenons occur, they celebrate his formidable presence. it was a good
death. cix
