Sprinkles of yellow present quite an array
Wearing streamers of fall, nature shares her bouquet
Wrapped amid clapboard, courtly patches of blue
Fences of jasmine, birth a memory or two
Rosebuds of dawning, wearing pillows of dew
Seasons rearranging in their ethereal hue
Benignant neighbors touching yesterday
Where genial spirits, gathered to pray
Wearing green jackets, weeping willows sway
Nature's strand of whispers; can you hear what they say?
The spreading of branches, weave the Florida yew
Through windowpanes, rims of autumn peep through
Pumpkin lit faces carved with déjà vu
Patterns of yellow lace, line the meadow rue
Hem a splash of color for the closing of the day
For in the hours gloaming
I shall wear them,
If I may
