Autumnal Perspective
Raucous crow
Incidental messenger
Strident call
Harbinger of silence.
Hectic clouds
Surging winds transformation
Clearing space
for winter's somnolence.
Sturdy roots
Like strong fingers capture
Holding fast
the softly sleeping earth.
Crisp dead leaves
Changing colors floating
Subtle thoughts,
gliding over cool air.
