The day will bring its weight to bare
Upon shoulders, inside souls tear
The inner you that meant to be
The better part the world can't see
Hold to your faith and your beliefs
For one may come and act a thief
To steal your joy, outlook on things
That make the best of offerings
A smile will bring someone much hope
Time yours spared will light with hope
The ones you may just see this day
That need to hear someone to say
You came to mind thought I'd stop by
Missed you since our last goodbye
Yes you, who sits here all alone
With grief that changed your heart to stone
Maybe some child that has no friends
No dad or mom who comprehends
Because they passed or just not there
Their loss upon young heart still bared
Homeless, a soul who asks for change
Who had a life the world estranged
Seeking to fill their empty cup
If just today, before giving up
Life is short and dashes through
The best of us we thought we knew
Before harsh words spew from our mouth
Or just in thoughts that went too South
We all do breathe the same air here
Upon this earth with races bared
Unique each one of us that bleeds the same
That need Gods love, this world untamed
Could become a paradise if we just took
A step backward, a second look
For in the end past church and steeples
It is about simply
