Patiently Hope
Out of the depths I call,
With stumbling from a fall;
Now feeling down so low,
I know not where to go.
O Lord please hear my voice,
So again I rejoice;
As your ears hear my plea,
So your mercy will see.
Who could ever withstand,
Contempt to each command;
If a record of sin,
Is recorded within.
But there is forgiveness,
Because I will confess;
Of what I have done wrong,
Torment does not prolong.
Let it not be ignored,
My soul waits for the Lord;
As I wait for His Word,
That my ears it be heard.
So I will watch and wait,
Patiently at the gate;
As He opens it wide,
Inviting me inside.
