 God's Love Through Poetry

Mercy's Love


Lord, help me to imagen
how hard to turn away
how someone so pure in heart could be
exposeing sin's nature that day.

How Jesus knowing before hand
exactly the road's traveling place
and the torture He willing took
To win the final race.

He must suffer and die
the angish of such a command
Mercy's Love was so great
Your Will was in the palm of His Hand.

Wanting man's love to be complete
He reaped what He did not sowe
going where He didn't have to go
Giving Mercy to man's eternal soul.
