Once Upon My Mind
Reflections of things past came to play
this day
Not long ago, in a place not far far away
I was at peace and nothing could change
that
It was the beginning of an end and sighs
became for her who I love and cherish
Perfect is the fit of the glass slipper I've
found and placed upon her feet, she is my
Cinderella
Our castle stands centered in the shire
where tall pine trees sing as the wind
caresses it's needles and pine cones
scent sweet
Survey I did and do this land that has become
home to me and my heart cries when it is time
to return to the land of the lost
North, where the cold makes it's home and my
soul toils till I can return
South, where the night sky becomes Gods tapestry
of love and shimmering lights
Here is where the moon reveals the face of
hope once lost, now found
There is where my heart found love eternal
This refuge mine where once upon my
shoulder and mind she pressed and I long
to be
