A Fellow Worker with Christ
We do not give others a chance,
In finding fault with how we serve,
It would only further advance,
The non-believer's learning curve.
Rather we show just who we are,
For being as servants of God;
Enduring many things by far,
While we still honor and laud.
Times of suffering and stress,
Anxiety and sleepless nights;
Knowing someday that He will bless,
Since we pleased Him within His sights.
For we have been patient and kind,
Possessing knowledge and wisdom;
While in keeping a pure mind,
As I prepare for His Kingdom.
As we keep the Holy Spirit,
Ever present in our lives;
Ensuring what we inherit,
Through the sincere love that it drives.
Some people think that we are sad,
As we go on living this way;
But I tell you that I am glad,
Because I do trust and obey.
