Lady Moon
We see her nightly rise and fall,
a soft glow dancing in the night
illuminating all around
from inky sky across the ground.
Her light is bright yet sometimes soft
and misty if the clouds are right.
She lights the darkened, sandy way
while palms with ocean breezes sway.
The ocean tide pulls to and fro
with gentle tugs beneath the waves,
while lovers kiss along their way
the moonlight shimmers on the bay.
Our Lady Moon is always there
to give us light and keep the tides,
as time goes by in earthly skies
she sleeps when we see our sun rise.
