From the Heart Through the Pen

What'd You Do To Me

How crazy is this?
So much that it's just gotta be
So much more than a summer love
Yet is it just me that can't get enough of
Her smile, her eyes, her lips, that dimple
Why can't I ever get involved
In something that's so simple

How do I get over us
If there was never a we
How is it that I felt
Something just so strong
And you claim I must be wrong
For it to exist
A conduit must find a necessity

Electricity would never be
For not that lightning, kite and key
Such an unlikely trio
Illuminated the world
So why can't you, your beauty and I
Brighten a universe
And give up the Joseph curse

(And if this were my world
I would input a Bruno Mars verse)

What I'm talking about
Is life without love
Before you I had a heart
And after you it's been stolen
Which is great
Cause now the blood's flowin
Never was there a doubt

Antarctica temperatures seized
The day into my life you came
From the bonds I've been freed
Yet now it's you I cannot find
20/20 behind is this sight of mine
Like an idiot, I'd do it all again
Baby, all I need to know...is when
