Love Becomes Her
Since childhood, she was loving
Mothers little helper was just
her beginnings
Years ahead she would birth three of
her own but love for her became no
agenda
Stirred to seek her own happiness was
now the mission in life
and she set out upon it
Her road traveled would bring some
happiness but love would fail
to come and stay
She gave of her heart and settled
for less when it was time
for goodbyes
Becoming a social butterfly was
her outlet, her life to fill
the voids that punched holes
in her heart, her world
Her misfortune became my wealth
as love became her and so we dance
Soft are the ways of her soul and
details yet to be discovered
There is no ugly found here, only
beauty, bountiful with every word
spoken, moments shared
Love becomes her over a cup of coffee
or upon the porch swing
Upon white linen and skylight lit bedroom
pastel in colors
Evenings draw out the stars in her eyes,
desires to be loved
and I become hers and she becomes mine
and sunsets become ours
Love Beomes Her
