Stand Strong
Oh my precious Love
days away are so very long
Nights even longer
I try so hard to stand strong
Life has a way
of obscuring the sunshine
My greatest hearts wishes
now can not be mine
When weakness over powers
and takes me to my knees
It is you I lean upon
as I ask God please
Am I asking too much
as I feel the shame
I have you and God
Have I a right to complain
You give me earthly love
His comes from above
I guess my life will be
absent of a grandchild's love.
You are my earthly anchor
keeping me straight and strong
Oh how I wish to be with you
my whole life long
You tell me to hang on
that it wont be long
To lean upon you
and just stand strong.
