Why is it
When you tell me
That you lust
For me,
Longing
Pours from
My pores
Because my
Darling body
Has cravings
For human
Touch
As much as it
Does for
Water,
Food and
Oxygen.
In these
Moments there
Can be no
Denial that
I am human,
Tied to earthbound
And carnal
Desires,
So delicious
As the waiting
Until I see
You again,
For the first time,
Knowing now
How you felt
Then
And saying nothing.
Each day
My mind imagines
How I may
See you,
To find
Reality has
Other plans,
And it is
Not to be
Today,
But someday.
Someday
Distracts me
From today.
Texts are
Not enough
To sate me,
And my imagination
Though powerful
Cannot conjure
You here
In my physical
Presence.
I am doing
Al I can
To concentrate
On the words
I am supposed
To perform
Tomorrow
For class,
But the thought
Of kissing
You bleeds
Through the lines
And as I
Envision my
Fellow students
Before me,
It is hard
To see them
Past the ghostly
Apparition of
You,
Your face,
Your lips
Coming closer
To mine,
Only to fade
At the last
Second
Of becoming
A reality.
The energy
Has to go
Somewhere
And I thank
God/Goddess
That there
Is poetry,
So that pen
And pixel
Can listen
In a way
No other
Mortal
Can help
Me.
Save me
Temporarily
From my
Delicious candy
Of distraction.
