It rained most of the night
Now the the sun is playing peek-a-boo with the clouds

Next week is Thanksgiving
I awoke this morning thinking of some of the things
that I have to be thankful for
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First on my list is Jesus Christ and my salvation
How blessed I am to be loved by Him
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I remember the day that I gave my life to Him
I had been a Sunday School teacher for about ten years
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I read the Bible everyday and thought myself to be very good
Then I saw myself as I was - a sinner - in need of forgiveness
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My life has never been the same since that day
I still teach Sunday School, but now I know the One I am teaching about
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Second I have a wonderful family that I love dearly and that
love me and we all enjoy being together
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have good health and God always supplies my needs
and most of my wants
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I live in this wonderful land of America
God has blessed us so richly here
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
often we take for granted all that we have
I know it is only because God has given that we can receive
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next week as I sit at our
Thanksgiving dinner eating the delicious foods
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will be thankful for all that God has blessed me with
as I am each day for His abundant bounty
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I pray that we in America will turn back to God as our Supplier
putting Him first in our lives again
***Much has happened in my personal life since I first penned this.
My dear grandson and my dear husband both have gone to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ
Some days are hard to get through, but through the darkest of day I can still say
"Thank you, Father, for your love to me and mine"
This earth is not our home, we are here for only a brief span of time.
I know where I and my love ones will be for eternity.
