 Forever Young
The years pass, not asking my permission;
Unable to justify, my heart acts in sedition.
Rebelling against the laws of time, I scream!
Remembering the past, taken by that dream.
Seeing you as my little girl, forever young.
You have grown into your responsibility;
Gifted with far reaching talent and ability.
Not taking away from your present position;
I miss those old days, rising as an apparition.
Seeing you as my little girl, forever young.
Like a smiling ghost touching my heart;
Not ever wanting those days to depart.
I draw my memories closer and closer to me;
Reminiscing those days when we were three.
Seeing you as my little girl, forever young.
A part of your childhood will always live inside;
As you run, and sing, and slide down the slide.
A small tear forms in the corner of my eyes;
I miss those day now gone, a part of me cries.
Seeing you as my little girl, forever young.
