The Firing of God, The  Aftermath

At  the  time  we  told  God  he  was  no
Longer  welcome  in  our  schools, and  fired
Him, the  worst  offenses  being  committed
Were  chewing  gum  and  cutting  in  line

Today  our  children  drink  and  do  drugs  in
School, teenage  pregnancy  is   no  longer
Cause  for  alarm, abortion  is  readily
 Available  and  in  epidemic  proportions

Our  Children  are  being  bullied  to  death, teen
Suicide  is climbing  at  an  alarming  rate, not
Only  being  bullied  by  their  fellow  students
But  by  students  parents, via  the  Internet

 Insolent, dis respectful, irreverent, self
Centered  children, never  having  been  raised
To  know  God, his  precepts  or  commandments
Live  to  please  themselves  alone

Incapable  of  learning  respect  for  others, or
Never  having  been  taught  it, run  ruff  shod  over
Peers, family  and  their  community, incapable of
Natural  affection, our  prisons  are  full  of  these

Educators  violating  our  children, guns, knives
Violence, common  place, and  when  tragedy
Strikes, we  rail  on  the  very  same  God, we
Fired  from  our  schools, so  long  ago.
