Your Blissful Soul - * A HYMN TO THE LORD OF LIGHT *

          Him pray my words, even this hymn to the illumined seer

          O Seeing Fire, knower of all things, magnificent master,

          Like jets of light, let Thy keen energies of flames devour

          The darkness and sinful thoughts of men!

          O Brilliant Fire, these separate fires of thine

          That kindled are seen like rays of the Dawn

          On the horizon and by becoming a child

          In the womb of Ocean,Thou hast born as Sun.

          Thy rays as cows are grazing our thoughts

          They are now giving sweet milk of light!

          O Fire, I have come to Thee with golden lotuses

          Seeking Thy grace as Thou bear the divine bliss!

          Do thou give us thousand-fold wealth and manifold forces

          O Sun, on the golden chariot drawn by seven bay horses

          Pure in the law of Thy workings, take pleasure in my hymn!

          O Sun, Thou art the embodiment of pure love of Heaven,

          Thou art the Lord who looks with equal eyes on all people

          Of many lands; We call Thee in our battles of life.

          May Thou smite away foes and evil doers!

          I pray Thee, O Lord of light, O marvelous king,

          Who presides over the laws of actions and lives of beings,

          Who illumines the universal life with Thy pure milk of light!

          O Sun, blaze forth in our hearts with Thy golden flames.

          May we be those who have right thoughts and right visions

          Oh, Brilliant Fire, put forth Thy forces to slay darkness anon

          The gift of Thine, the splendorous light and immortal wisdom

          Desirable wealth which never fails, we seek from Thee, O Sun!

          To Thee we offer our thoughts as clarified butter, O Lord,

          Let all that alien and hostile be rent asunder !
