Down cold corridors that are dusty and damp
Cobwebs interknitted with grime and decay
A light burns bright as by a tunnel
And a smile awaits that glows like embers

Remember me……friends of past
Where years trod beneath work and life
And memories unfurled a sepia picture
Gathering a lifetime of faces, each with name

My soul smiles recognition at each and all
My heart delights in views of bygone times
Water beneath many bridges
Yet nothing fades

Heart surrenders to happier times
Though pain makes us what we become
Strength to cast a net to wider audience
And embrace life's drama to the fullest
