America's Freedom

Lord, let us Americans look beyond
the vast beauty of this land
and see the gabbing holes in
which we know unables us to stand.

We took you away out of our lives
trying to fix what is not broken into
and said let Your name not be heard
forgetting how You gave hope to persue.

Shine through the holes and patch them
with your patchwork of love in which we found
giving a special gift of freedom that
was gratefully sound.

but, I know freedom came with a price
in which now is slowly fading away
so when a soldier dies in battle
remember the sacrifice that was gave.
