 All Things Vernal

In the whirlwind of the palette all the colors are at play
Busily splashing nature's canvas with the hues of the day
Daisies, buttercups and daffodils going on riotous display
While the wind announces Springtime is well on its way...

Whispering rustling leaves are left from Winter's closing blast
Softly shines a newborn sun, leaving behind its sallow past
Changing of the season creates a sharp delineating contrast
Warming breeze does its best to prove Winter breathes its last...

Wash the pallor from the skyways, leave us with hyacinthine blue
Sprigs and shoots and other greenings announce a season new
What ancient being did not exult when the first flower grew,
When Morning Glory went on display in early morning dew...

Warming winds are a precursor to delightfully toasty times
Spring even encroaches steadily on the northern colder climes
Our inner carillon of exultation sounds off in joyous chimes
Spring is a season of such perfection, it has no need for rhymes...
