The Silence

No one knew the silence
Until the day dawned in fullness,
Then they breathed it in like Angels
To lose themselves in the Light.
I opened my eyes and looked around,
Everything seemed brand new and alive;
All the spaces where you once were
Filled up with dreams and visions
And my heart began to long for you;
The pathways were golden and silver,
Traces of you were all around me-
Your laughter echoed in the forest,
Your words fell beside me like rain drops;
Hushed into lullabies by undying love;
I look skywards and you are infinite,
You have become all that I ever will be;
And one day I will fly home to you.
