When love dies and we walk away,
A flame goes out, that lit the way,
Two souls in darkness, lost and alone,
Seeds of discontent, have now been sown,
When love dies and the sadness prevails,
Like the Marie Celeste with unfilled sails,
Drifting aimlessly on such a lifeless sea,
In a voyage devoid of hope no spirit free,
When love dies, something beautiful is lost,
When unsure in thought, it hurts the most,
Insecure of heart, too frightened with fear,
A pain so silent as loneliness draws near,
When love dies, the brightest jewel has gone,
No more shooting stars, to make a wish upon,
Filled with darkness, under an inky black sky,
Echo in a vacuum the sound of a heartfelt cry,
When love dies, sadly it's now replaced by sorrow,
Love now locked in the past, no faith in tomorrow,
When a new dawn arrives, feel the warmth of the sun,
As you open your eyes, a new beginning has begun,
When leaves die, the beauty of Autumn can be seen,
Now red and gold replace summer's verdant green,
With a fresh new day will bring colour and light,
Like the birth of a new butterfly an angel in flight,
When a new love is reborn, a rekindling of emotion,
It re-ignites within the new flames of devotion,
Feeling so lost for words but still able to express,
That feeling of arousal that comes with a loving caress,
Love is all around, just open your eyes and see,
It emanates in my soul from deep within me,
There is plenty to be shared to give and receive,
That love never dies that's what I firmly believe
