 El Sonador
Close so close and his alone
The dreams where once a heart of stone
Would break to mend what he condoned
The years of not to call his own

He dreamed of light and sustenance
That brought to him, his souls content
Love once had and lost so long
Ago too long his life's old song

He knew of soft and gentle hands
Held too the scent of the woman
He dreamed for many years of them
Wishing his dreams, He'd comprehend

Time would pass him by and age
Became of him, chapters to page
Of other dreams still had to date
Of her he loved, maybe too late

Yet still he sleeps with arms his wide
Waiting to hold her by his side
Though fast asleep he sees clearly
What he longs for and loves sincerely
