Going Through The Motions
The day will bring its ups and downs
The choice is yours to let it pound
Upon your chest as does your heart
Inside where things seem torn apart
What magic will you pull today
From satchel yours of prayers prayed
To one unseen but held still to
For answers too, see this day through
Brace yourself these trials today will weigh
Maybe much more than yesterday
For it's the way things are for now
Moment to overcome somehow
This write plays out in someones day
Maybe yours, you too will say
No not again, we crossed that bridge
With toll paid, yet more to give
So dig you will deeper this day
Sigh much deeper along the way
To put to bed useless emotions
Playing your part, going through the motions
Drinking once more that magic potion
